ISTEC (predecessor of SUSTEC) jointly developed a metal resource exploration system using SQUID magnetic sensor with JOGMEC (Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation) and MINDECO (MITSUI MINERAL DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERING CO., LTD). We have succeeded in improving the performance of the geophysical exploration method that investigates the resistivity structure underground by the time region electromagnetic exploration method (TEM method). It has achieved the world's best performance at a slew rate that can follow steep external magnetic field fluctuations, and has improved the depth of investigation. Due to its small size and light weight, the system has excellent portability and operability.
